Hi, I’m Yoshi.

I’m Yoshiaki Tokunaga, but you can call me Yoshi. I grew up in Itabashi and now help people rent, buy and sell homes in Tokyo.

I’m also a takkenshi, a qualified Japanese real estate transaction specialist (Tokyo registration No. 265150). You can discuss the property and transaction process directly with me in English. Learn what a takkenshi does and how this differs from a company’s business licence.

I attended Aoba-Japan International School for elementary school, then St. Mary’s International School, both in Tokyo. Our classes were in English, and I grew up with friends from many different backgrounds, including friends who went on to study abroad. I later studied liberal arts at Doshisha University in Kyoto.

Friends describe me as easygoing. I like to keep conversations relaxed and make it easy to ask questions, whether you’re new to Japan or have lived here for years. We can talk in English or Japanese and work through your plans at your pace.

I wrestled in high school, and now I practise Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) as a hobby. I also enjoy going out with my wife, and steak is my favourite food. If you have a good steak recommendation, I’m all ears.
